CUTTING HORSES

Starr Whitley is quickly expanding her involvement in the cutting horse industry. In 2022, she added several names to her cutting horse roster and was a competitor in the Metallic Cat National Cutting Horse Association Futurity Amateur Finals. Whitley Ranch cutting horses currently train under 28-time NCHA Futurity Finalist, Ronnie Rice of Rice Ponderosa. 

“To me it’s all about having your horse prepared, other than that I don’t keep track of my finals. I just make sure my horses are ready and the rest of it doesn’t matter.” – Ronnie Rice

When she isn’t spending time on the ranch, Starr can often be found training with Rice. She’s putting in the hours in the practice arena now and looks forward to making her mark in future NCHA competitions.
